What is Partial Incision?

This is a method utilizing advantages of both the buried-suture approach and incisional method. It loosens less than a buried-suture approach, while it removes fat tissue to leave definite double eyelid lines, as in the incisional method.

Unnecessary muscle and fat tissues can be removed through a small incision of 2 to 3 mm, and double eyelid lines are more solidly held in this method by a strong fixation, than a buried-suture approach. Double eyelids performed by the buried–suture method may be easily loosened, if a patient has much fat and muscle in the eyelids. In such case, the partial incision approach is an appropriate surgical method.
