What is Partial Incision?

This is a method utilizing advantages of both the buried-suture approach and incisional method. It loosens less than a buried-suture approach, while it removes fat tissue to leave definite double eyelid lines, as in the incisional method.

Unnecessary muscle and fat tissues can be removed through a small incision of 2 to 3 mm, and double eyelid lines are more solidly held in this method by a strong fixation, than a buried-suture approach. Double eyelids performed by the buried–suture method may be easily loosened, if a patient has much fat and muscle in the eyelids. In such case, the partial incision approach is an appropriate surgical method.

Cases requiring Partial Incision in eye surgery

01
Cases with much fat in the eyelids
02
Case where the eyelids do not stretch
03
Cases with thick eyelids
04
Cases where a patient need a revision surgery due to loosening of the eyelid after buried-sutures surgery.

The Advantages of Partial Incision Eye Surgery

01
There are largely no scars after surgery
02
Recovery is fast, and the possibility of loosening eyelids is lower than a Non-incision approach
03
Definite eyelid lines are made by removing the fat.
