What is Endoscopic Forehead Lift?

Repetitive movements of contraction and relaxation of the corrugators muscle, orbicularis oculi muscle, procerus muscle and depressor supercilli muscle cause glabella wrinkle, upper nose wrinkles and crow feets wrinkles.
With aging the eyebrows sag and the eyelids droop make disturbance of visual field and itmake to use frontalis muscle to lift eyebrows for improving seeing. Contraction of frontalis muscle cause more forehead wrinkles. The fixation method of endoscopic forehead lift can be divided into 3 types.

The first type is to the screw used by the dentist for orthodontics to enable fixation. In the second type, the fixed implant called andotine, which is a bio-absorbable soft tissue,can be used for fixation. The third type is to drill a hole directly on the skull for fixation. The type can be determined under sufficient amount of consultation with the doctor according to the peripheral condition of the individual patient (occupation, living abroad, etc.) depending on the recovery process of the patient after the surgery.

Procedure of Endoscopic Forehead Lift

STEP 01

Before the surgery, there is a great amount of wrinkles on the forehead, and the middle of the forehead and eye rims are drooped.

STEP 02

Incision is made on about 5 sites inside the head for about 1cm

STEP 03

An endoscopic instrument is inserted to separate the forehead and under the eyebrow, and the forehead is pulled upwards to be fixed on the periosteum.

STEP 04

It relieves the drooping of the eyebrows and removes wrinkles in the forehead.
